Mehmet Cengiz Öz was born on June 11, 1960 in Ohio. His father’s

name is Mustafa and his mother’s name is Suna. His father is

from Konya. His mother is from İstanbul. Mehmet Öz received
his primary and secondary education at Tower Hill School in

Delaware. In 1982, he received his undergraduate degree in

biology at Harvard University. He played American football for
Harvard’s team. In 1986, he got “doctor of medicine” degree at

the University of Pennsylvania. He was always a hardworking
and responsible student. After graduation, he worked hard on

alternative solutions for patients with heart failure and he

became successful. He became a professor at the Department
of Surgery at Columbia University in 2001. He usually appears

on television shows and gives medical advice. He has his own

talk show. He is now a very successful surgeon, television
personality, professor, journalist, and author.
