My name is Emily. My family and I are extremely sensitive

about environmental protection. For example, my brother and

I always pick up rubbish on the ground and classify them.
Then we put them in recycling bins. We use recycling bins

at home as well. My mother sometimes helps us, too. My

mother is very careful about the use of electronic devices
at home. She unplugs them when they are not in use. She

waits until the
dishwasher and

washing machine

are full, and then she operates them. She often warns
us to turn off the unnecessary lights. My dad has a

very nice car, but he usually goes to work by bus. He

sometimes goes by bike. He says “If everybody uses public
transportation to go to far places, and walk or bike to

near places, there will be less traffic jam and less air

pollution.”
